I’m a Denver boudoir photographer and my studio is located in Denver, 10 minutes from Cherry Creek. The gorgeous women I photograph often marvel at my unique studio space and I’m absolutely thrilled that they love it as much as I do!
What I love most about my job is showing women how I see them. As humans, we often focus on things about ourselves that we don’t like. Things that we view as flaws, or things that make us different. I get to show you the most confident side of yourself! Women often look at their photos and say, “WOW is that me?!” And it’s funny because maybe you view yourself as someone always wears sweatpants and a stained T-shirt, but I only know you THIS way. I know you as the woman who steps into my studio with stunning lingerie. I know you as the woman who’s ready to conquer the world by the time she leaves my studio! My goal is to help you love yourself more than ever before.
Since we’re on the topic of lingerie, let me know if you’re interested in my full guide of where you can buy beautiful lingerie from companies I recommend. And if you’re a local to Denver, you’re in luck! Iv’e heard great things about Femme Fatal on South Broadway! 303 Magazine even wrote an article about them when they first opened in 2020. Set up a time to do a personal styling session with them. They’ll help you pick out lingerie sets that fit you perfectly. From delicates to wear around the house to over-the-top pieces you’ll want at your next photo shoot!
Okay, I could spend hours giving photo tips and talking about how I love helping women love themselves, but right now I want to focus on what makes my Denver boudoir studio different than the others. Denver has no shortage of beautiful studio spaces and moody hotel rooms, but my studio is one of the most unique spaces I’ve ever seen. It has everything: historic charm, stunning natural light, and a chic, boho vibe.
One of the most unique things about my studio is the antique door. The door originated from 1800’s India and when I found it I knew I had to have it for my studio. As a Denver boudoir photographer I’m naturally drawn to beautiful things and antique doors have been one thing I love most about traveling the world. I had to bring a little piece of that to my boudoir studio. While the door is one of a kind, you can look for something similar at an antique shop.
The beautiful woman in these photos (shoutout to Akilah!) is actually the one who helped me with interior design. She helped find this yellow/gold couch from Article that so beautifully brought out the brass elements of the door. This part of my boudoir studio transports you to another world!
As a Denver boudoir photographer, another thing I really appreciate is natural lighting! Not only does my boudoir studio have huge windows and plenty of natural lighting, but there’s also the outdoor patio I have right outside the studio!
We can capture outdoor photos on the porch almost all year round, but springtime in particular is the best time to capture outdoor photos in Denver. May & June are when we get the most vibrant green colors! The plants are just thriving. Any Coloradan will tell you that the other months are mostly brown. My advice is to book your session in May or June if you want your outdoor photos to pop!
There’s nothing quite like sitting out there in your lingerie with a nice breeze.
And let’s not forget shooting through the windows into the studio! These are some of my favorite photos ever. The glass creates a softening effect that is so beautiful on the skin.
Then there’s the boho bed with white linens. The photos from this part of my studio always have a dreamy look to them. The white linens just reflect so beautifully for skin tones. If you came here to creep on where I got this wooden canopy bed frame from you’re in luck! I’ll give away my secrets today. I’m not sure if they still have it but I got the bed frame from Urban Outfitters of all places! I love the bed frame but I don’t recommend a real bed for a boudoir studio. It’s easy to sink into it too much so I’d recommend getting a wooden pallet and then just putting a thin Japanese floor mattress on top to protect your client’s knees.
I love how her tattoo matches her facial expression in this photo.
And last but not least, as a Denver boudoir photographer I had to also include a plain paper backdrop. Photography backdrops are so simple, they allow the entire focus of the photo to be on the subject. So perfect for boudoir!
By the end of your session, you’ll be energized and probably wanting to go out! Meet a friend for a big yap or meet up with your lover and try to keep the secret that you have some photos coming soon! Since my studio is right near Denver’s Cherry Creek, I recommend Ay Papi or Forget Me Not. Ay Papi is a Cuban inspired cocktail bar with a very sexy Miami vibe. Forget Me Not is an upscale cocktail lounge with a bright, an open-air feel, perfect for summertime in Denver.
