If you’ve ever dreamed of a disco ball wedding, Molly and Trace’s day at Woodlands was pure magic. The white barn was dripping with disco balls! They caught every bit of light and turned the space into a modern, glittering dream.
Molly got ready in the bridal suite surrounded by her bridesmaids, her mom, and her sister. We did a bridesmaid reveal (which I’m obsessed with!!), and the energy was unmatched. Her girls did a great job of hyping her up.
Trace got ready in the barn with his brother, wearing one of the most unique suits I’ve seen: a shade of blue that made his eyes pop, with a watercolor vest and a floral tie.
Their first look took place in Woodlands’ lavender garden, which was in full bloom for their July wedding. The lavender was popping and there were butterflies everywhere — the perfect supporting characters. They read private vows that had everyone (including me) tearing up.
If you’re planning a Woodlands wedding, I highly recommend July or August — the lavender is at its absolute peak.

Ashley from Thoughtfully Curated Events designed the day to perfection, with bright, colorful florals by Lilac and Sage Studio. I’m living for all the color this year — after a few seasons of white and green weddings, 2025 is definitely bringing the vibrancy back.
It rained briefly during the ceremony (as Colorado does), but the sun came right back out, and guests tossed flower petals as Molly and Trace walked back down the aisle.
One of my favorite moments of the whole day was them signing their marriage license under all those disco balls. Trace was twirling his ring for the first time while Molly signed. It’s such a sweet, unposed moment.

We snuck out for golden hour portraits by the rocks and of course in front of Woodlands’ iconic white barn. Those are always some of my favorite photos. Relaxed, joyful, just-married energy.
Then it was time to dance, and those disco balls came alive. Molly and Trace are huge music lovers. Their first date was at a Passion Pit concert, so naturally, the dance floor was wild in the best way.
One important detail I don’t want you to miss is the ski and gondola themed seating chart! What a cute idea! Molly and Trace are big skiers so they wanted to include a piece of that in their wedding. Each guest reached for the slopes got a gondola with their name on it. How cute! The cake topper was also a little clay figurine of them two of them skiing.
If you’re planning a disco ball wedding (or just want to add a little sparkle to your day), take a page from Molly and Trace’s book. Their celebration was proof that modern style and heartfelt emotion are the perfect combo.
